As a seasoned climber and expedition leader, he has conquered some of the region’s most formidable peaks and guided teams through its most challenging terrain.
Beyond his summit achievements, Vijay is deeply committed to rescue and relief operations in remote, high-risk environments. His calm decision-making, technical expertise, and unwavering integrity have earned him respect across the mountaineering community.

Notable Climbs 

Kuchela Dhura (6294 m) – First Ascent, 2013 

Led and successfully completed the first-ever ascent of Kuchela Dhura, demonstrating pioneering mountaineering skills and route-finding expertise in challenging Himalayan terrain. 

Khimling (6200 m) – First Ascent with Indian Tibetan Police Force, 2015 

Collaborated with the Indian Tibetan Police Force to achieve the first ascent of Khimling, showcasing teamwork and high-altitude climbing proficiency. 

Mount Nun (7130 m), 2016 

Summited Mount Nun, one of the prominent peaks in the Himalayas, reinforcing endurance and technical climbing abilities at extreme altitudes. 

Nanda Ghunti (6309 m) – Four Ascents 

Repeated successful climbs of Nanda Ghunti, highlighting consistent performance and mastery over complex alpine routes. 

Bhagirathi II (6512 m) – Two Ascents 

Achieved two ascents of Bhagirathi II, reflecting deep familiarity with the peak’s technical challenges and high-altitude conditions. 

Satopanth (7075 m) – Summit 

Made three attempts and did one ascent of Satopanth, demonstrating sustained high-altitude mountaineering expertise and resilience. 

Trishul (7120 m), 2018 

Did one summit attempt of Mt Trishul, 2018   

Brahm Parvat (6322 m) – First Attempt with ITBP, 2020 

Participated in a pioneering expedition with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police for the first attempt on Brahm Parvat, contributing to strategic route exploration and team coordination. 

Rescue and Restoration Operations 

Uttarakhand Flood Rescue – Kedarnath, 2013 

Played a critical role in high-risk rescue operations during the devastating Uttarakhand floods, providing aid and evacuation support in extreme conditions. 

Kedarnath Restoration – Collaboration with NIM, 2013-2018 

Worked extensively with the National Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) on restoration efforts in Kedarnath, contributing to rebuilding infrastructure and ensuring environmental sustainability over five years. 

Kashmir Flood Relief, September 2014 

Engaged in emergency relief operations during the Kashmir floods, assisting affected communities with rescue and recovery efforts.
